Vichy Thermal Spa Water Review, Price, Details

Hey all!

How is summer treating you? Even though I love summers, it takes a toll on my skin every year. And if there is one product which can tame down the craziness my skin shows, it has to be a good toner. Yes I have combination skin and I swear by toners.

So this summer I decided to go one step ahead and got this thermal spa water from Vichy after reading lots of good reviews. Read on to know what I think about it…

I got a tiny 50 ml bottle for trial purpose. The white metal made long bottle with blue cap looks cute. Upon spraying, it disposes the product like a mist which gets easily distributed on skin. 2-3 sprays are enough to cover the entire face.

The product is just like normal water. No additional color or smell! Also it is paraben free which is a good thing for sensitive skinned people. It claims to calm down sensitive and irritated skin. Well, when I got this product I was getting occasional break outs. I use it as a substitute of toner mostly, in between cleansing and moisturizing. Also I keep spritzing every now and then as an instant boost of freshness, especially when I am out.

This product definitely adds a dose of hydration to the skin after application. My skin immediately feels refreshed and rejuvenated. However it does not do anything much for redness and break outs. Neither does it work on oil controlling. I tried using it as a finishing spray after makeup but it did not impress much in that aspect. Also 50 ml product costs 350 bucks which is on higher side.

Summing up for a quick reference:

  • Functional sturdy packaging
  • Instant hydration and freshness, especially in air-conditioned environment and outdoors
  • Paraben free

  • Pricey
  • Not effective on pimple prone skin

Final Word:

I will be finishing this 50 ml bottle soon and I am not going to repurchase. I feel my normal rose water filled in a spray bottle does the job equally well. I like the fact that it does not irritate my sensitive skin. But at the same time, it is nothing extra ordinary to justify the hefty price tag.
