My Experience with the Product:

Packaging:

As you can see in the image, the product comes in a big round blue tub with a silver screw cap. Because of the thick texture of the cream, I have not experienced any spillage while travelling. But due to the bulky size, it will occupy quite a bit of space in your travel vanity. Also, an addition of a plastic spoon or spatula would have been nice. Otherwise you have to dig your fingers in to take the product out.

Texture and Smell:

The cream is thick and white in color. Smells like a professional salon product which I like. It is thicker than the normal conditioners but gets distributed nicely and does not form clusters.

Effectiveness:

I make absolutely sure my hair gets a monthly spa treatment ever since I have straightened them. Remember conditioning is the key to get long lasting effect from any chemical treatment you do on your hair. On top of that I have dry and rough hair strands.

As it has been more than a year that I got my hair straightening done, I have started getting my natural waves back. My hair gets really frizzy at times, especially after washing. Hair spa definitely helps to tame it down but the effect does not last for more than a week L I feel like getting hair spa done once in every two weeks but that hurts my wallet quite painfully L L

So after lot of thoughts and a bit research, I decided to get this product. We all might have seen this fat blue tub sitting on the rack in many salons. This is the base product salon professionals use for hair spa. I use it the similar way they do and trust me, the result I get is equally good as a salon spa, if not better. It gave me freedom to pamper my hair every weekend! My hair feels silky soft, tangle free and manageable. It helps to keep my waves at bay and maintains the straightness which I love! My hair looks well nourished and shiny. The color looks more vibrant and lively! I have oily scalp but this product does all its job without making my scalp greasier! And last but not the least, I love its smell which lingers into my hair till the next wash J

How I do Home Spa Using L’Oreal Hair Spa Deep Nourishing Creambath:

I only need my regular shampoo, few hair clips, this creambath, a towel and a hair dryer!
  • First I shampoo my hair thoroughly removing every trace of grease and oil.
  • Next I towel dry it to soak excess water
  • I detangle my hair by running my fingers gently through the strands
  • Then I divide my whole hair into 10-12 sections and clip them up.
  • I start taking one section at a time, take a good amount of this cream and apply this all over the hair section and spread by my finger to make sure that each and every hair is coated by the cream evenly.
  • I do the same to the rest of the sections
  • Once done, I massage my scalp and hair for couple of minutes to make sure everything is even and well distributed
  • Next I soak a towel in warm water, squeeze it and wrap it around my hair
  • Then I switch on the dryer for 2-3 minutes and heat the wet towel which I wrapped earlier. The water in the towel will produce steam which will help the product penetrate the hair shaft deeper.
  • Once done, I keep it for 30-40 more minutes
  • As the final step, I rinse my hair very well in normal water. I keep rinsing until the water runs clear. After the wash, I apply serum and let it dry naturally. And voila! Hello gorgeous hair!!

Quick Recap:

Likes:
  • Makes hair soft, shiny and manageable
  • Deep conditions and nourishes
  • Gives freedom to do hair spa in the comfort of home
  • Very affordable! This huge tub will easily last for 20-25 sessions. One hair spa session in any salon does not cost less than 1.5k. Do I need to say more?

Dislikes:
  • Lot of chemicals L My hair is already abused with lot of chemicals, be it straightening or permanent hair colors L L

Final Word:

My hair absolutely love this thing and I am very happy with the results! This creambath comes in lot of varieties targeting specific hair issues! Once this gets over I will get the damage repair variant which my hair stylist thinks would be more beneficial for my kind of hair.

Rating:

4.5/5 ( it deserves to get 5 because the result I get is brilliant. But still a lot of chemical goes into my hair through this L So I had to deduct .5)

So what are your thoughts? Are you a regular hair spa person? Will you try this at home?

XOXO
